League of Legends Smurf: 5 amazingly simple ways to Level Up Your quickly
Hitting Level 30 (again!) is rough on your League of Legends Smurf account. You move up from clueless newbies to entitled Challenjours rather quick, and the matchmaking often feels worse than what you encounter in Ranked. The fact that you get less experience for losing can leave you empty inside. Luckily, there’s a more stress-free and consistent way to level up your smurf.
League of Legends Smurf Experience
As a League of Legends smurf you should know that you need 40,560 XP to get Level 30. Riot Games say that a 30-minute win is normally worth 204 XP while a 30-minute loss would give you 167 XP. Consequently, Losing the game costs you about 20% of potential experience gains. The formulas go as follows:
Win: Time (seconds)*0.11+6.6
Loss: Time*0.09+5.4
Win trading in quick succession to get experience is not really an option. Most servers are too populated for you to meet each other on the opposite teams. Custom games do not award any experience.
Another point to remember is the minimum duration requirement. Your game has to last at least 8 minutes for you to get experience. Besides, experience stops accumulating 50 minutes into the match.
Smurf Leveling Lifehack
As you could tell from the formula, the flat experience number for winning or losing the game matters a lot. It is better to have an extremely high win rate and very short match duration than gamble on average 30-minute games.
As a League of Legends smurf, your best bet to win all the time is the Co-op vs AI games. You can stomp Beginner bots very quickly, especially if you have a couple of friends to help you out. Depending on how many people you have, you may be tempted to go for Intermediate bots instead. The reason is that Beginner bots grant less experience from Level 9 onward (90% for Level 10–19, 80% for Level 20–29).
The math checks out comfortably. Even with taking the loading time into account, Co-op vs AI is the fastest and safest way to get experience.
- Four 8-minute bot wins: ((60*8)*0.11+6.6)*4=237.6 XP
- 32-minute Normal win: 60*32*0.11+6.6=217.8 XP
- 32-minute Normal loss: 60*32*0.09+5.4=178.2
Playing the right champion goes a long way, especially if you’re doing this alone. Master Yi, Jax, Tristana, are all really good at getting the objectives fast. Master Yi also has the sustain to keep pushing and can win fights while your potentially clueless teammates are trying to play League of Legends. You can find builds for all the power leveling champions in our desktop assistant app.
Smurf leveling Boost
You can make things faster by purchasing experience boosts from the League of Legends store. There are timed boosts and win boosts. The first ones double experience from all games for a set period of time while the latter give a flat victory bonus of about 210 XP. This is another reason to play Co-op vs AI. Also, note that you can benefit from both bonuses.
For timed boosts, I suggest that you take a 3-day one (520 RP). Getting to Level 30 within 24 hours is incredibly taxing and doesn’t fit a 9/5 schedule. A 3-day boost will keep you focused, and you will lose only one day’s worth of RP by potentially buying another 3-day boost instead of initially committing to a 7-day boost.
As for win boosts when leveling your League of Legends smurf, I suggest you go hard on 40-win ones (2240 RP). Even if you end up overshooting the Level 30 mark a bit, you will still appreciate faster capsule unlocks to get more champions for Ranked.
League of Legends smurf Power Leveling Math
Apart from the risk of going insane, spamming Coop games with boosts to get level 30 has sick value. It mainly comes down to the huge victory boost. Note that we’re using the gameplay time, although the Coop route is comfortably faster even with more lobbies and loading screens.
32-minute Normals, 50% WR, no boost:
- 40,560/((217.8+178.2)/2)≈205 matches
- 205*32=6560 minutes
- 6,560/60≈109 hours
32-minute Normals, 50% WR, two boosts:
- 40,560/((196*2+105)≈82 matches
- 82*32=2,624 minutes
- 2,624 minutes≈44 hours
8-minute Coop, 100% WR, two boosts:
- 40,560/((59.4*2)+210)=123 matches
- 123*8=984 minutes
- 984 minutes≈16 hours
To all you League of Legends smurf levelers, even if it would take leveling comrades to stay on the 16 hours trajectory, you can save a decent amount of time (and money) with Coop. There’s also no stress from dealing with agitated teammates or wasting an hour in a lost game.
Is it legal to buy a smurf account?
A purchase is technically not punishable, but a sale is. Riot Games’ Terms of Service (paragraph 1.4) explicitly prohibit selling accounts, so your smurf can get banned later on. It happens a lot, especially to users who buy an account that was leveled up with some automation software.
